KINGSTON, Jamaica – After winning and being claimed for $1 million on last (December 14), God of Love returned seven days later to win at the Overnight Allowance level just a short while ago in the ninth race at Caymanas Park.

When God of Love won and was claimed on December 14, the three-year-old gelding was trained by Anthony Nunes who had the 2-5 favourite Prince Charles (Dane Nelson) in today’s contest run over six furlongs.

Now running under the care of trainer Fitzgerald Richards, God of Love ridden by apprentice Christopher Mamdeen was kept in touch with early leaders, K D Flyer (Dane Dawkins – 7-1) and Corazon (Anthony Thomas – 10-1).

With three furlongs left in the event, Mamdeen pushed through God of Love with Prince Charles on his heels.

In the stretch drive, Mamdeen kept God of Love going and won in the end by over two lengths. Second was Prince Charles with Corazon third.

The winning time was 1:11.3.
