Clocks 59.0 seconds, 1-2 for Lakeland Farms
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Go Deh Girl left Overnight Allowance with a rousing victory coming down the five straight course in the Caymanas Saturday seventh.
With the bang in form Tevin Foster in the saddle for champion trainer Anthony Nunes, Go Deh Girl, a US importee, raced prominently from the start as the 2-5 favourite She’s My Destiny (Anthony Thomas) set blistering splits of 22.2 seconds for the first two furlongs.
On the main track, Go Deh Girl started to accelerate and went by the leader with her main challenge coming from Race Car, who was returning to racing after an injury break of 20 months. Of note, both Go Deh Girl, and Race Car are owned by Lakeland Farms. Old-stager Ras Emanuel (Shane Richardson) was third.
