KINGSTON, Jamaica – Champion trainer Anthony Nunes took approximately $546,000 off the lead of just over $1.6 million held by Jason DaCosta in the trainers’ championship race following the victory by Go Deh Girl in the Caymanas Sunday third.
Go Deh Girl, a US imported three-year-old filly ridden by many times champion Omar Walker registered her fourth success from 14 starts at the Overnight Allowance Grade at five furlongs round.
Walker sat comfortably in second as Formal Gladiator set about on the lead. When they entered the lane for the last two furlongs, Walker brought Go Deh Girl forward and that move signalled the end for the other five runners.
One Don (Robert Halledeen) again slowly out of his starting stall ran on for second with Raw Liquid (Roger Hewitt) third.
