KINGSTON, Jamaica – As the gates opened for the start of the Caymanas Saturday (December 11) first, Jon P with Chris Mamdeen in the saddle streaked off in front, coming from the outside draw and was never headed.

The first race in the Summit of Speed weekend of racing was a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) call going five furlongs round.

Duke of Springs (Linton Steadman) chased in vain and eventually finished second with Nina Dorada (Javaniel Patterson) third.

This with 13th occasion that Colin Ferguson, the trainer of Jon P was visiting the winners’ enclosure.
