Four-year-old chestnut filly Dream of Paris made all the running to win a native-bred four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) and imported four-year-old and upwards (maidens) over a one mile (1,600m) on Sunday, July 9, 2023.

Dream of Paris, owned and trained by Edward Stanberry and ridden by Paul Francis, shot to the front at the off and held the lead ahead of Salud (Tevin Foster) and Asurety (Reyan Lewis).

Dream of Paris maintained her lead down the backstretch until approaching the five-furlong (1,000m) marker when she upped the tempo on rivals.

The far-striding filly entered the lane with a strong lead and held her gallop well to the line, winning by 6½ lengths ahead of Great Wayne (Jordan Barrett) and Don Vincenzo (Anthony Thomas). After splits of 24.1 x 47.4 x 1:15.0 the final time was recorded at 1:44.2.
