KINGSTON, Jamaica – The indomitable foursome of trainer Gary Subratie, owner Michros, breeder Michael Bernard and mare Sarah Barracuda combined to deliver a massive 45-1 upset with Crimson in the eighth race of 10 on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park.

Crimson (Nuclear Wayne – Sarah Barracuda), a half-brother to the two-year-old Wow Wow, who won the race before, was slowly out of the box in this Restricted Allowance for three-year-olds and upwards going 7 ½ furlongs as the 6-5 favourite Earn Your Stripes (Linton Steadman) blazed a quick trail up front.

Crimson ridden by champion jockey Anthony Thomas moved down steadily as Earn Your Stripes was still going at a merry clip taking the field into the straight with the jockey (Steadman) looking under his legs to gauge the opposition.

At this stage, Thomas kept bringing, Crimson closer and closer and then in the final furlong, Crimson got into top gear blowing by Earn Your Stripes and holding the challenge of the fast finishing Princess Ava with Earn Your Stripes finishing third.

Two wins for Subratie, Michros and Bernard for the day, and two wins for the mare Sarah Barracuda.
