KINGSTON, Jamaica – Many eyes will be focussed on the re-entry of foreigner Double Diva to competitive racing.
Double Diva trained by Jason DaCosta races in a non-winners of four for three-and-four-year-olds and a non-winners of three call for foreigners going five furlongs straight.
THE QUICK GALLOPER looks at the seven runners in this contest in order of the draw.
1 – ROCKET LILY – enters this level for the first occasion after winning in non-two and is out of her grade. Can be left out of consideration.
2 – WILL THE CONQUERER – was a no-show seven days ago, with his chances improved over the five straight course which is more to his liking. Will earn. Will The Conquerer races with the blinkers on.
3 – MORSE CODE – filling space for his stablemate.
4 – TOLANA – this US-bred filly needed only two starts to register her first win and that was 63 days ago on February 5 at five-furlongs round. Talona has been on the track since then with gallops over the straight. Expect Talona to be vying for the lead and will be a factor in the closing stages.
5 – IT’S A BOY – out of his class.
6 – POWER RANKING – racing in non-four and has only won two races. Will have to wait.
7 – DOUBLE DIVA – much was expected of their foreigner but she has been hampered by injuries. In preparation for this event, Double Diva has been putting in some fast times at exercise, including a 1:06.4 gallop for 5 ½ furlongs. Double Diva is primed to earn her second win.
