KINGSTON, Jamaica - Five horses have been nominated to race competitively for the first time on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
Of the five, four are three-year-olds, and the other a five-year-old.
THREE-YEAR-OLDS
CHOO BLUE is a bay filly (March 20) by Sensational Slam out of Choo Choo Blue, trained by Peter McMaster with Shane Richardson aboard.
RUNAWAY STAR is a chestnut colt (April 18) by Northern Giant out of Runaway Gal, trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. Please note that Runaway Star was declared to start on January 11, but was declared a late non-starter after unruly behaviour at the gates.
NEBUCHADNEZZAR is a chestnut colt (April 22) by Soul Warrior out of Queen of Baghad, trained by Anthony Nunes with Shane Ellis riding.
SLAM SHARP is a bay colt (February 10), trained by Michael Marlowe with Ian Spence with Ian Spence holding the reins.
FIVE-YEAR-OLDS
SHEWHOHASNONAME is a bay horse by Legal Process out of Apassionata, trained by Michael Marlowe with Ramon Nepare switting in the saddle.
