KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fourth race of the 11 on tap today at Caymanas Park was a four straight contest for optional claimers ($250,000 - $200,000) with the current crop of in-training apprentices in the saddle.

Lady Carmen drawn on the outside and ridden by Eric Haughton broke well and although leaving the outside rails a bit was still able to win by a length.

The joy of Haughton was there for all to see, as the young man flashed his arms in delight when going by the winning post to acknowledge his first win in an official race.

Trained by Lawrence Freemantle, Lady Carmen started as the 3-2 favourite.

Second was Royal Girl (Youville Pinnock) with third the spot occupied by Lion of Judah with Anthony Radcliffe aboard.
