KINGSTON, Jamaica – The new batch of trainers continue to make their mark on the racing landscape with Oral Hayden becoming the third of the cohort of 39 to win a race. Hayden’s first success came with Essential Quality in the Caymanas Saturday, May 20, 2023, sixth.
That race was a three-year-old maiden event at 7 ½ furlongs. Winning jockey Anthony Thomas pushed Essential Quality to the lead when the gates opened, then upped the tempo three furlongs out, going on to win easily by 11 lengths.
