KINGSTON, Jamaica – New trainer Paul Swaby, who graduated from the trainers’ course yesterday (May 12), had the distinction of winning his first race from his first start. Katalina conditioned by Swaby was a convincing winner of the Caymanas, Saturday, May 13, 2023, fifth, a five-year-old and upwards non-winners of three call travelling 7 ½ furlongs.
Katalina was ridden by Calvin Bailey, his first winner in 2023, from ten rides.
