Fighting maiden win for 1-5 on Sir John in Caymanas Saturday fourth

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Having finished in the top four in all but one of his previous eight starts, Sir John was able scored a fighting first win in the Caymanas Saturday fourth.

Sir John, a three-year-old bay colt by Natural Selection – Luscious, trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Anthony Thomas let go of the maiden tag in a three-year-old maiden condition race travelling a mile.

Bigmanbiden (Roger Hewitt) went off to the front and maintained that position until Rising Blue (Chris Mamdeen) and Sir John who were locked together from the start of the race went by while navigating the first bend.

In the stretch drive, it was close going between Sir John and Rising Saint with the former finding more in the last part of the contest.

Positive ID (Dick Cardenas) finished in the third slot.
