KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fifth event on the nine-race card of Saturday, October 21, 2023, is a three-year-old maiden race for fillies only on the five-furlong straight course.

Here is The Quick Galloper's analysis of the nine entries:

– ALWAYS WRIGHT is a bay filly (April 4) by Northern Giant out of Kitty Hawk, trained by Michael Marlowe with Jerome Innis aboard. She has been developing slowly, needs more time.

– GLITTERING MAGNUM is a bay filly (May 18) by Deputy Glitters out of Runaway Queen, trained by Lorne Kirlew with Shavon Townsend in the saddle. She's gradually improving as demonstrated by her second-place finish on October 8. Consider her for quinella, exacta, and trifecta wagers.

– SIMPLY SENSATIONAL is a chestnut filly (April 19) by Sensational Slam out of Simply Outrageous, trained by Alford Brown with Raddesh Roman aboard. She's gearing up for her first victory, and the presence of in-form Raddesh Roman signals confidence from the team.

– CASSINI is a chestnut filly (February 29) by Deputy Glitters out of Ascenseur, trained by Borris McIntosh with Bebeto Harvey in the saddle. This race marks the beginning of Cassini's learning curve.

– CRUCIAL ALEXXYA is a grey colt (March 8) by Admiral Alex out of Crucial Cat, trained by Carl Anderson with Reyan Lewis aboard. With valuable experience from his 19-race career, Crucial Alexxya has a reasonable chance, especially with leading rider Reyan Lewis replacing Samantha Fletcher.

– LION CHARMER is a chestnut filly (March 29) by Lion Tamer out of Charming Beauty, trained by Patrick Lynch with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. Racing with blinkers on and having disappointed five days ago, Lion Charmer still might challenge for a minor place in this quick turnaround.

– SHE’S STYLISH is a bay filly (May 24) by Stylish Jac out of Janet Classic, trained by Dale Murphy with Paul Francis aboard. She's not yet prepared to effectively compete.

– FEARLESS REINA is a roan filly (May 6) by Fearless Vision out of Hija De Reina, trained by Gregg Fennell with Javaniel Patterson in the saddle. With consistently good performances in most of her eight starts, she has an excellent chance of securing her first win, especially with an advantageous outside draw.

– MISS LYNTON is a bay filly (February 13) by Nuclear Wayne out of Aguila, trained by Robert Ffrench with Ramon Nepare aboard. She's not ready to challenge this field yet.
