KINGSTON, Jamaica – After the first three races were completed on today’s nine-race card at Caymanas Park it was truly a case of the odds-on favourites dominating.

The first race went to Awesome Cat at 1-5, the second saw Race Car winning at 1-9, and the third was a triumph for Big Black Nation at 1-9.

That trend was broken in the fourth when Dee Danger in a gate to wire run with apprentice Romario Smith in the saddle for trainer Borris McIntosh won the Optional Claiming event ($650,000 - $600,000) contested over five-and-a-half furlongs.

Dee Danger who has not raced since October of last year, shot to the front and was left with an uncontested lead.

In the straight, Dee Danger and Smith pulled away to earn the victory by five lengths.

Second was Contractor (Reyan Lewis – 5-1) and third was Adonis (Dane Nelson – 8-5).

The 3-5 favourite K D Flyer finished fifth.

The winning time recorded was 1:06.1.
