KINGSTON, Jamaica – Father Riel racing for the fifth time shook of the burden of being a maiden from off his back with a workmanlike victory in the Caymanas Saturday fifth, which was run over five furlongs straight for three-year-olds.

With a seemingly resurgent Bebeto Harvey in the saddle for trainer Junior Small, Father Riel wasted no time in assuming the lead followed for the most part by Oldkingcole (Dane Nelson).

In the final furlongs Father Riel was the stronger and he pulled away to win by 1 ¼ lengths over Oldkingcole with Letters In Gold third.
