The tenth and final race on Saturday, February 7, 2026, honour former champion jockey George HoSang.

The George HoSang Trophy is for for three-year-olds and upward over 5 furlongs straight at the level of Overnight Allowance.
A field of 14 talented runners is down to compete, with The Quick Galloper taking a close look at each runner and their chances of winning.

1 – MAJOR DANGER (USA)

Recent efforts have been below par, and the inside draw in a crowded field is unlikely to help this foreign-bred. Needs a dramatic turnaround to feature prominently.

2 – ANOTHER ONE

A proven specialist over the five-straight. Ran a strong third behind Zulu Warrior and Champion Bubbler at this trip on January 3. Possesses the class to challenge again, though the two draw may compromise his usual running style.

3 – TAPIT GOOD

Steps into Overnight Allowance company for the first time. Still learning the ropes and may require more seasoning before being competitive at this level.

4 – UNRULY MO (USA)

Has struggled to recapture winning form since moving into Overnight. While his last victory did come over the straight, he has yet to show the same spark against stronger rivals.

5 – SHE’S THAT GIRL

Second attempt at Overnight. Returns after a lengthy 292-day absence, which makes fitness a major question. Likely to need this run before showing her true ability.

6 – FEARLESS SOUL

Back from a long break. Has shown affinity for the straight course in the past, but match fitness is doubtful. Blinkers are applied, which could sharpen his effort, though improvement is expected only after this outing.

7 – WICKED CASSIE (USA)

Even with blinkers fitted, her form does not inspire confidence. Hard to recommend.

8 – BULLETPROOFCOFFEE (USA)

A seasoned campaigner who thrives over the straight. Returns refreshed after a 70-day break. The mid-pack draw is favourable, and his consistency makes him a genuine contender for top honours.

9 – COMMANDER Z (USA)

Well, beaten in the St Catherine Cup over 6 furlongs, finishing 10th by 21 lengths. However, he is far more effective over the straight and should deliver a much-improved performance here.

10 – INSPIRE FORCE (USA)

Struggles at this level and has not shown signs of progress. Blinkers are unlikely to reverse fortunes. Difficult to support.

11 – CHAMPION BUBBLER (USA)

Ran a commendable second behind the high-class Nautical Star in the St Catherine Cup (6 furlongs) on January 17. Proven over the straight, drawn ideally on the outside, and equipped with blinkers. All signs point to him being the horse to beat.

12 – GALOPIN DE VELOZ

Faces a stiff challenge against these seasoned rivals. Likely to be outclassed.

13 – JOHNCROWJEFF

Will find the pace and quality of this field overwhelming. Best watched.

14 – MACK AND ROME

Gradually adapting to Overnight Allowance company. The outside draw is a major plus, and he has the tactical speed to stay in contention throughout. Could play a significant role in the finish.

THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT

Champion Bubbler stands out as the leading candidate, with his recent form and advantageous draw marking him as the one to beat. Bulletproofcoffee and Mack And Rome are expected to mount strong challenges, while Another One remains a danger if overcoming the inside draw.

Top Picks: Champion Bubbler • Bulletproofcoffee • Mack And Rome and Another One
