KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two of the three least backed horses in the field of seven, Exhilarate (8-1) and Secret Traveller (23-1) finished first and second respectively in an Open Allowance event just run at Caymanas Park. It was today’s (April 13), 6th race.
It was a case, once again, of the outside drawn horses getting the better of those drawn on the inside, coming down the straight course. Exhilarate was draw at 7 and Secret Traveller at 6.
Exhilarate was ridden to victory by champion jockey Anthony Thomas and is trained by leading conditioner in 2019, Anthony Nunes. Adonis at 7-5 was third. Odds on 2-5 favourite Peking Cruz did not hit the board.
The exacta paid a tidy $7022.
