KINGSTON, Jamaica – After many poor efforts, El Profesor finally came good when winning the eighth race which was a $1 million - $900,000 claiming call at 6 ½ furlongs.
Ridden by Dick Cardenas, the Patrick Lynch trained El Profesor watched from far off the pace set at different stages by Lala Diva, Crytocurrency and Action Run.
Still with a lot to do in the straight, El Profesor and Cardenas went through horses to pick-up the running a furlong out which they never relinquished.
Hover Craft from way back ran on for second with Loose Ball occupying the third slot.
El Profesor was the third winner on the day thus far for Dick Cardenas.
