KINGSTON, Jamaica – El Cliente favoured at odds of 3-1 won the first race of 11 as the Caymanas Park weekend of racing got underway.
Ridden by apprentice Oshane Nugent, El Cliente gave trainer Steven Todd his first winner since the resumption of racing on June 20.
Rank outsider at 75-1 Bigman Union with Samantha Fletcher on board finished second with Reassurance (Javaniel Patterson – 10/1) occupying the third slot. Bigman Union was later disqualified and taken from the frame
The event won by El Cliente was a $250,000 - $200,000 claimer run over seven furlongs.
