KINGSTON, Jamaica – With five favourites winning the first six races on today’s race card at Caymanas Park it was little wonder that the Sunrise -6 payout was only $4,568 as many punters cashed in on the winnings.
This after owner/trainer Raymond Townsend presented the 2-1 Big Black Nation with apprentice Roger Hewitt in the saddle, in unbeatable condition to win the sixth race.
Big Black Nation defeated Jamaican Citizen (Ameth Robles) with Photogenic (Daniel Satchell) earning third position.
For Townsend, it was his third winner this year, while the race maturing Hewitt was winning his seventh.
