KINGSTON, Jamaica - On Sunday, August 20, the five-year-old bay horse Nuclear Noon effortlessly won as the favourite in a three-year-old and upwards claiming race ($1,00,000-$800,000) over 5 furlongs straight.
Trained by Anthony Nunes and ridden by Tevin Foster, Nuclear Noon started strong, vying for the early lead with Ras Emanuel (Reyan Lewis), Bugatti (Jordan Barrett), and Iannai Links (Roger Hewitt).
After the first furlong, Nuclear Noon seized full control of the race and charged ahead of competitors at an impressive pace.
While Ras Emanuel attempted a late challenge, Nuclear Noon maintained effortless momentum and won by 2 ¾ lengths in a time of 1:00.4 (23.3 x 46.2).
Ras Emanuel secured second place and Katalina (Dane Dawkins) claimed third.
