KINGSTON, Jamaica – Making use of a starting run for the line just before his main rival, Nuclear Dan Dad was able to claim victory in the ninth race of 10 on today’s (Sunday, April 13 2019) 2000 Guineas race card at Caymanas Park just moments ago.
Nuclear Dan Dad had to hold off the late burst of 1-2 favourite Virtuoso and was able to survive by a half -a- length in the end to provide trainer Michael Marlowe with his second winner on the day. It was a long-awaited visit to the winners’ enclosure for apprentice Daniel Satchell.
Nuclear Dan Dad won a Restricted Allowance – four-year-old and up – non-winners of two event run over 5 ½ furlongs.
Virtuoso was second with Sacrifice occupying the third slot.
The winning time was 1:07.2.
