KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Javaniel Patterson and trainer Ryan Darby secured their second win on the Caymanas Boxing Day card when a game Reassurance won the seventh offering.
Patterson kept Reassurance on the outside of the leader Union Four (Kiaman McGregor – chance ride).
When they entered the last two furlongs, Reassurance and Union Four were still locked together with both their riders pumping hard.
Reassurance then got the better of Union Four as Lady Budget gathered momentum to finish second but was later disqualified and placed fifth behind Congrats Suckie, making the final placings: first Reassurance, second Union Four and third Boss Izzy.
This was the second winner on the Boxing Day card for Patterson and Darby.
