KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Oshane Nugent earned himself a double thus far on the 11-race card currently in progress at Caymanas Park.
Nugent piloted the Johnny Wilmot trained 2-1 chance Baby Star to a convincing victory in the fifth race run over five furlongs straight for four-year-old maiden horses.
Nugent drawn at post position eight kept Baby Star in close contention as Fabulosity led the field of eight runners.
Baby Star picked up her gallop in the final furlong and a half drawing away to get home by four lengths.
Second was Fabulosity with Case Closed third.
Nugent’s first came in the first race on El Cliente.
