Double for apprentice Kiaman McGregor as Lovers Strike romps 10th race on Diamond Mile Race Day

KINGSTON, Jamaica – After being off the boil in recent times apprentice Kiaman McGregor replenished his fortunes with a quick double as Lovers Strike provided the young man with his second winner on the Diamond Mile Race Day.

The race was the 10th on the programme and was a Restricted Allowance 111 for five-year-olds and upwards run over six furlongs.

McGregor kept Lovers Strike trained by Fitznahum “Features” Williams well behind the group of leaders before scorching the last two furlongs to catch and beat Twilight Eruption (Omar Walker – 3-1) with Blood Song (Javaniel Patterson – 7-2) in the third slot.

The winning time was 1:14.3 and Lovers Strike won at odds of 3-1.
