KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 2019 Diamond Mile Race Day got off to an unexpected start when first by the post Adoring Lady ridden by Christopher Mamdeen running at odds of 8-1 was disqualified and placed fourth.
The race was awarded to second placed JamalJames ridden by Daniel Satchell and trained by Errol Waugh.
The event an Optional Claimer (450,000 - $400,000) over the five straight course saw Mamdeen moving from the two draw in the field of 12 to the outside rails and in doing so caused interference to Smokey Topaz (Omar Walker).
After their deliberations, the officiating stewards took down the number of Adoring Lady.
