KINGSTON, Jamaica – After finishing fourth, four lengths behind Golden Wattle in last year's one-mile Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes, Deezi confirmed the form of that race with a resounding effort in the Caymanas Sunday seventh.

Deezi, by Northern Giant out of Buyabook, won a three-year-old (non-winners of two) for local bred horses and a maiden for foreigners at six furlongs.

It was Awesome Rich (Roger Hewitt) who went to the front shadowed from early by Deezi. After the completion of two furlongs, Thomas pushed the go button on the Jason DaCosta trainee and Dezzi responded by moving away from the pack.

In the lane, it was all Dezzi, who went on to win by 6 ¾ lengths, with the US-bred Gilbert (Shane Richardson) finishing second, and Noremoredeals (Dane Dawkins) third.
