KINGSTON, Jamaica – The recent winning combination of jockey Devon Thomas and trainer Anthony Subratie struck again this time with Rashid at odds of 2-1 in the Caymanas Monday (Oct 25) first.

Coming from a lengthy break of 163 days, Rashid earned his first win in a four-year-old and upwards maiden condition contest travelling 5 ½ furlongs.

It was a rush upfront when the starter let go the field of 10 runners with Plutologist (Linton Steadman), Nydan (Jordan Barrett) and Cup Cake (Tevin Foster) all vying for the advantage.

It was Plutologist who won the frontal battle as Thomas started to guide Rashid closer. Plutologist carried the field into the lane but started to buckle under the strain with Rashid although running all over the place while still cutting down the lead.

Cupcake blew the turn once again, and with Rashid now in flow the latter was able to get to the winning post in front although still drifting to the outside.

Oh My Goodness (Oneil Mullings) finished second with Plutologist third.

This was the 11 winning ride for Thomas this year and the 12th for Subratie.
