KINGSTON, Jamaica – It didn’t take long for jockey Dane Nelson to re-establish his present day dominance among his peers, as he guided the Howard Jaghai trained Striking Lady to an easy victory in the second of 11 races at Caymanas Park moments ago.
Going off at odds of 4-5, Striking Lady made mincemeat of her opposition in a Maiden Special Weight for three-year-old fillies only.
Cruising down from the outside, Nelson put Striking Lady in front from early in the five furlong round contest. After taking the lead, Striking Lady had no issues as she simply pulled further and further away from her 13 opponents, winning by 10 ½ lengths in a final time of 1:01.3.
Striking Lady provided her trainer Howard Jaghai with his first winner in 2020 from 10 starts.
