KINGSTON, Jamaica - After their first riding stint in Canada, local riders Dane Dawkins and Samantha Fletcher have returned home, and both are in the saddle over the coming weekend of races at Caymanas Park.
Dawkins, who had an encouraging season at the Assiniboia track has secured four rides on Saturday, September 28, while Fletcher, who rode at Century Mile has one mount. The seasons at both tracks in Canada have now ended.
Dawkins rides Power Ranking in the fourth race for trainer Lawrence Freemantle, Hunza in the seventh for Wilfred Chin, Design Diva in the eighth for Anthony Dixon, and Bold Move in the ninth for Gary Subratie.
Fletcher’s lone ride is in race six, Lady Abhimala for trainer Gary Subratie.
Based on the Overnight for Sunday, September 29, Dawkins has picked up six rides and Fletcher two.
Fletcher rides Dancinginthebreeze for trainer Edward Stanberry, and Veliki Vicki for Ricardo Brown.
While Dawkins will partner Nakamura for trainer Errol Burke, Xylophonic Steel for Khari Tucker, and K D Strong, Blood Moon, Affair, and All For Love for trainer Gary Subratie.
