KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dropping down to the $350,000 - $300,000 claiming rank, Storm provided title chasing trainer Wayne DaCosta and title chasing jockey Anthony Thomas with their first win on the 11-race card at the Park a short while ago.
Storm sent off at odds of 1-2, took over the lead down the backstretch in the 9 + 25 yards event and just kept on going eventually winning by eight lengths.
Second was Stir It Up trained by Anthony Nunes and ridden by Dane Nelson at 2-1 with third going to Princess Caula with Javaniel Patterson atop at odds of 13-1.
Thomas who started the day 9 wins ahead of Dick Cardenas with the victory on Storm moves ahead by 10.
With the win DaCosta has gained just a bit on Nunes.
