KINGSTON, Jamaica – The tight race for the trainer’s championship involving trainers Wayne DaCosta and Anthony Nunes could take a dramatic turn on Saturday (November 24, 2018) as the latter is set to dominate the Pick-3 Challenge Cup run over seven furlongs.
This cup race is the second in a series of three special races for the two-year-olds sponsored by Supreme Ventures Limited. The race carries a total purse of $3.6 million
Nunes dominates the Pick-3 with three starters including the talented Corazon who now goes in search of three consecutive wins. The trainer’s other two horses are Tricky One and Juice Man.
The main competition for Corazon should come from Duke, Top Shelf and Phenom.
If Corazon as expected wins the Pick-3 then DaCosta’s lead of just over $2 million could be short lived.
DaCosta is represented in the Pick-3 by maiden El Gringo and Lady Blue who has shown early signs of being a sprinter.
