KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Gresford Smith-owned and conditioned Norblar continues to make noticeable progress.

The three-year-old bay colt registered his second career win in a native-bred three-year-old (non-winners of two) and imported three-year-old and upwards (maidens) going 7 furlongs on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Under the capable hands of champion jockey Dane Dawkins, Norblar sat off the pace in the early exchanges as Running Glory (Shamaree Muir) led the field down the backstretch ahead of Kem (Bebeto Harvey).

Dawkins let loose a notch and the three-year-old bay colt responded quickly by going in chase of Running Glory navigating the half-mile turn. Approaching the distance, Norblar took control of the contest and began to draw away from rivals in the straight.

Although shortening inside the final stages, Norblar had done more than enough for a comfortable win.

Norblar was a length and a half in front of Wow How (Matthew Bennett) and Slam Dunk (Raddesh Roman) in a time of 1:27.4 (24.1 x 48.1 x 1:13.1).
