KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Michael Marlowe and apprentice Ramon Nepare achieved their first winner of the 2021 racing year when Congrats Suckie won the Caymanas Saturday fifth in runaway style.
It was Movie Star (Chris Mamdeen) who decided to lead the field of 15 following the scratch of The Kings Treasure at the starting gate.
Then Nepare pushed through Congrats Suckie approaching the three-furlong point in the contest and that was that – the race was over as Congrats Suckie went on to win by 8 ½ lengths.
Estalita (John Mills) was second with Bigbrowngreyhope in the third slot.
