KINGSTON, Jamaica – Salah announced himself as a horse to watch with a courageous win in the ninth race – a Restricted Allowance 11 –three-year-old non-winners of two contest over a mile.

Ridden by apprentice Kiaman McGregor and trained by Steven Todd, Salah ran off the pace set first by Riot Worthley who was then overtaken by the American bred Alhamdulillah (Bebeto Harvey).

Alhamdulillah took the field of nine into the straight but faltered under the challenge of 3-5 favourite Tricky One (Chris Mamdeen).

Tricky One fresh from his three-year-old Classic exploits took over but McGregor brought the ever consistent Salah with his run and the three-year-old chestnut colt responded obviously loving the sloppy underfoot condition to achieve the win by a neck over Tricky One. Third went to 9-1 chance Latapy.

Salah was the second winner on the day for apprentice McGregor.
