KINGSTON, Jamaica – The second race on Sunday, October 29, 2023, features a sprint for two-year-olds covering 4½ furlongs.

Six juvenile contenders are participating, and the following analysis by The Quick Galloper is provided for the readers' benefit.

1 - FASTNFURIOUSLINKS, a roan filly (born February 15) sired by Casual Trick and out of Another Fury, is trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen as jockey. Recent reports indicate that Fastnfuriouslinks moves efficiently and is expected to significantly influence the race's outcome.

2 - INDESTRUCTIBLE, a bay colt (born January 25), sired by Successful Native and out of Rudy Girl, is trained by Phillip Elliott with Raddesh Roman in the saddle. Indestructible competes without a visor and boasts a noteworthy debut on August 26. Finishing third behind Lucy In The Sky and Himaya over four furlongs, he's sure to enjoy the additional distance.

3 - COMEHOMETOME, a bay filly (born January 29) sired by Northern Giant and out of Heart of Gold, is trained by Jason DaCosta with Reyan Lewis as jockey. She finished fourth behind out of class rivals Digital One, Banadura, and Grecian Light on October 7. Having previously raced over 5½ furlongs, Comehometome is likely to appreciate the shorter distance of this event.

4 - BANK CRAFT, a bay colt (born April 12), sired by Storm Craft and out of D'Angel, is trained by Phillip Elliott with Rudolph Paige in the saddle. Bank Craft will not be able to capitalize on this debut experience.

5 – HIMAYA, a roan filly (born March 23) sired by Casual Trick and out of Raksha, is trained by Jason DaCosta with Youville Pinnock as jockey. As the most experienced of the group with four starts, Himaya continues honing her skills.

6 - PRINCESS HEARTBEAT, a roan filly (born March 10), sired by Fearless Vision and out of Heart Beat, is trained by Jason DaCosta with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. Morning observations suggest that Princess Heartbeat may not be quite ready for the competition.

  1. Could the editor of quick gallop do a comparative analysis of 2023 juveniles vs 2018, showing the following data:
    1. Number of 2 y.o. starters year to date.
    2. Number of starters per race.
    3. Distance travelled.

I need to see the data to confirm my opinion that the local horse racing industry is in decline.
