KINGSTON, Jamaica – Milkman trained by Richard Azan and ridden by apprentice Anthony Allen gained an unexpected victory after just failing by half-a-length to catch first by the post the US bred Cleopatra’s Child ridden by Dane Dawkins and trained by Gary Subratie.
Milkman was awarded victory after the stewards of the race meeting applied Rule #217 – section 2 – as Dawkins weighed-in one kilogramme below the allotted weight of 54.5 kilogrammes. This disqualification happened in the eighth race on today’s programme.
By virtue of the disqualification, Allen got his second on today’s card and Azan his first for the season.
Raw Liquid got the second slot and Livi’s Outrageous third.
