CLAIMING RULE AMENDMENT BY THE JAMAICA RACING COMMISSION

The following news release was issued by the regulatory arm of racing in Jamaica, the Jamaica Racing Commission.
This serves to advise that Rule 88 of the Jamaica Racing Commission Racing Rules 1977 has been amended to read as follows:
“No horse claimed in a claiming race shall be sold or transferred, wholly or in part, to anyone within thirty days after the date it was claimed, except in another claiming race. Additionally, no horse claimed in a claiming race by a Trainer on behalf of an owner shall be transferred to another Trainer within thirty (30) days after the date it was claimed, except in another claiming race”.
Please note that this amendment is effective immediately.
