KINGSTON, Jamaica - The fourth race on Saturday, November 23, 2024, is being run in honour of the Equestrian Federation of Jamaica.

The event is a five-furlong sprint for three-year-old maidens in which 10 horses are entered. The Quick Galloper’s take on the possible outcome is provided below in post-position order.

- LEGEND OF ZARRO is a bay colt (April 10) by Bern Identity out of Ransomware, trained by Al Brown with Dick Cardenas riding. He went completely off the boil when last at the races on November 17, after some consistent efforts. He will be hard-pressed to win this one.

- CHINITA ESTRELLA is a bay filly (March 9) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Chinitagoodaz, trained by Steven Todd with Tevin Foster aboard. She was expected to do much better than her eventual fifth-place finish six days ago while going 5 ½ furlongs. If that last run is thrown aside, then Chinita Estrella deserves another chance, especially with the trainer deciding to take the blinkers off.

- BOMB NIGHT is a chestnut filly (April 15) by Soul Warrior out of Mom Rules, trained by Marlon Brown with Oshane Nugent in the saddle. She caught the eye on debut when finishing a close 2 ¾ lengths fourth, running on behind the winner Lil’ Maggie at 5 ½ furlongs. She gets a pull in the weights, slipping from 123 lbs to 117 lbs, which can be the catalyst for an improved run. Bomb Night must be respected.

- DOVE is a chestnut filly (March 20) by Seeking My Dream out of Sea of Galilee, trained by Ian Alexander with Youville Pinnock holding the reins. Based on her previous seven runs, Dove cannot handle these contenders.

- MILITARY LIGHT is a bay colt (April 7) by Bold Conquest out of Nuclear Princess, trained by Gary Griffiths with Chris Mamdeen as the designated jockey. He performed well enough second time out to end in third place behind Galop De Veloz and Radam. Military Light was 10 lengths adrift of Radam, and with the latter present again, a change in those positions is highly unlikely.

- TORONADO STEEL is a chestnut filly (February 22) by Soul Warrior out of Miss Formality, trained by Khary Tucker with Carlos Blake riding. She did much better in her fifth race, finishing third, two lengths behind Queen of Soul on June 1, after losing several lengths in the final furlong of that 5 ½ furlong sprint. Toronado Steel is now returning from a long break of 175 days and will need time to find her true self. Note that Toronado Steel races with the blinkers off.

- LINSTEAD MARKET is a chestnut colt by Patton Proud out of Royal Beauty, trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins aboard. Despite the presence of the informed Dawkins in the saddle, Linstead Market cannot hide his dismal performances from six starts.

- LUCKY PAPA is a bay colt (March 28) by Bern Identity out of Litlebopeep, trained by Courtney Williams with Richard Henry in the saddle. This newcomer will need time.

- SEA OF BLUE is a bay filly (March 30) by Casual Trick out of Blue Saphira, trained by Patrick Lynch with Samantha Fletcher holding the reins. She is not ready to handle these competitors as yet.

- RADAM is a grey colt (March 25) by Successful Native out of Lynnie B, trained by Anthony Nunes with Raddesh Roman as the nominated rider. This grey colt is as consistent as can be at this level. Radam is well suited to the distance at hand, and this presents the perfect opportunity for him to get off the mark.
