KINGSTON, Jamaica – The maiden three-year-old victory by Chez Le-Vee going four furlongs on Saturday, September 30, 2023, was greeted with joy by his connections, trainer Spencer Chung and owner Bruce Levy.
Racing for the second occasion, this time with the visor on and with leading rider Reyan Lewis replacing Kerry-Gayle Robinson, Chez Le-Vee exiting from the prohibitive one draw coming down the straight, dismantled his 15 rivals, winning by 3 ½ lengths in a time of 48.1 seconds.
“Chez Le-Vee has many issues dealing with, which has curtailed his race day involvement. That is why he made only his second career start on Saturday last,” trainer Chung shared with this website.
Going forward with Chez Le-Vee, an offspring of Sensational Slam out of Grace Marie, Chung indicated that patience was the name of the game.
“Once Chez Le-Vee remains healthy, I believe that he will be able to go through his age group conditions. Thereafter, I will have to wait and see.
“The main item on the agenda for Chez Le-Vee is to keep him healthy and happy. Then we will take it from there,” Chung said.
