KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Natalie Berger set the cat among bettors when she guided the Anthony Smith trained Casual Charm to a scorching 24-1 upset in the Caymanas Tuesday fifth.
Berger earned her second victory since the start of 2021 in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) contest travelling four furlongs.
The young lady kept up with the pace setters before making a decisive move with two furlongs to go when Casual Charm went to the front. Berger had to dig deep as Another Prosecutor (Richard Henry) came with a surge but in the end, it was Casual Charm by a neck. Third was another at 24-1, Duke of Springs (Jemar Jackson).
