KINGSTON, Jamaica – Riding in fairly good nick of late, champion jockey Anthony Thomas notched his 44th winner for the year when he guided the Michael Beecham trained Super Glitterman to victory in the second race on the Friday Golden Weekend programme at Caymanas Park moments ago.
Racing in a Restricted Allowance for five-year-olds and up – non-winners of four over four furlongs straight, the speedy Super Glitterman went to the front and was never in danger of losing.
Thomas and Super Glitterman had to survive a Stewards’ inquiry and jockey’s objection by second place Daniel Thompson on Sure Step.
The objection was over-ruled and the placing allowed to stand. Third was Miss Nancy (Matthew Bennett).
Super Glitterman won in a time of 48.4 at odds of 1-1.
