Nine horses nominated for 7-furlong Classic prep
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Champion two-year-old of 2021, Golden Wattle makes her long-awaited seasonal bow in the fillies only 7-furlong Thornbird Stakes scheduled to be run at Caymanas Park on Saturday next, April 2.
Golden Wattle, trained by champion Anthony Nunes with regular rider Tevin Foster in the saddle, is the only horse in the present three-year-old grouping to win three races. This filly heads the handicaps with 57.0 kgs (126 lb). Golden Wattle will break from post-position one.
A total of nine fillies has been entered in this year’s Thornbird Stakes.
