KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Jordan Barrett who is now allowed to claim 2 kilogrammes guided the Anthony Smith trained Casual Charm to victory in the Caymanas Sunday second. The Caymanas Sunday second was for horses five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) travelling 4 ½ furlongs.
Barrett positioned Casual Charm in the middle of the track and was challenged early by the 4-5 favourite Thepowersthatbe (Phillip Parchment). After shaking off Thepowersthatbe, Casual Charm set sail for home but from out of the pack emerged Mamasharondarling (Oneil Mullings) and in a last gasped effort, Casual Trick was able to hang on by a nose.
Miss Cookie (Oshane Nugent) finished third.
So, after two races on the Sunday card, the two odds on favourites, Silient Cat and Thepowersthatbe have both gone down.
