Kukulkan took command on the far turn and pulled away to a seven-length victory Sunday in the Copa Confratemidad del Caribe at Gulfstream Park, giving him a second straight victory on Clasico del Caribe day in south Florida.
It was the 16th victory in 20 starts for the 4-year-old colt by Point Determined, who won Mexico's Triple Crown in 2018 before campaigning in the U.S. Kukulkan entered Sunday's race off a disappointing seventh-place effort in the Lukas Classic (G3) at Churchill Downs in September.
Breaking alertly under jockey Irad Ortiz Jr, Kukulkan was settled in third against his Latin rivals, just behind his pacesetting stablemate Kandinsky, with Justiciero in second.
The order remained that way through the early stages of the 10-furlong contest until the field entered the far turn. That's when Ortiz moved Kukulkan into the clear on the outside, and the duo quickly shot to the front.
Kukulkan continued to pull away through the stretch while under a hand ride for a popular win, with bettors backing him to 1-9.
