KINGSTON, Jamaica – After completing his 1200th winning ride on Saturday last, former champion jockey Shane ‘Canter Man’ Ellis brought home his second winner just minutes ago in the fifth of 10 races on tap at Caymanas Park.
Ellis partnered the Rowan Mathie trained Dezzy The Genius to victory over the nine furlongs and 25 yards course. The race unfortunately suffered because of two late non-starters Free Marie and Nala’s Bushman.
Second went to Bula (Christopher Mamdeen) and third to My Mom Juss (Dane Nelson).
