KINGSTON, Jamaica - The seventh race on Saturday, August 10, 2024, is the top-rated on the day - an Open Allowance call with only five horses entered.

There are five horses entered in what is the Poorlittlerichgirl Trophy going seven furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the possible outcome is provided below.

1 - THALITA made two efforts to again visit the winners’ enclosure, after racing for the first time this season on May 23 in the class below, Overnight Allowance. On Saturday, Thalita steps up to Open Allowance at a distance to her liking but where foes are difficult to handle. She looks like the likely candidate for the exacta wager.

2 - MAHOGANY returns to a trip where he is more suited. In 2024, Mahogany raced four times without winning which is an unusual occurrence. Now, he is allowed to reclaim lost ground against rivals which when fit and proper he can handle with ease. For Mahogany, who again gives away the pounds, it is a simple case of winning, which should be accomplished with Shane Ellis aboard. Note that Mahogany races with the blinkers on.

3 - EASY AS A.B.C made a favourable impression when facing Open Allowance opposition last (July 7) when finishing third beating Mahogany in the process at 7 ½ furlongs. He will enjoy seven furlongs and is versatile enough to stay off the leaders, then striking when called upon. The presence of the in-form Raddesh Roman in the saddle should enhance the chances of Easy As A.B.C.

4 - YELLOWSTONE has gone completely off the boil in recent times. Note that Yellowstone races with the visor off.

5 - MADELYN’S SUNSHINE even with her new style of running coming from behind, and even after her win on last in Overnight, cannot handle these going as much as seven furlongs.
