KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Quickgallop.com odds makers have determined the odds going into the next stops on the Classic train for the three-year-old fillies, the seven and a half furlong Portmore Stakes, and the one mile 1000 Guineas.
The odds makers met to share their views after the running of the Thornbird Stakes on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
After the dominant performance by the Ian Parsard trainer, Bootylicious in the seven-furlong Thornbird Stakes, the odds makers reduced her odds significantly. Bootylicious is now the 3-5 on favourite to continue her unbeaten winning streak starting with the Portmore.
The odds on second in the Thornbird, Thalita have dropped significantly. The odds makers took into consideration that Thalita, was racing for the first occasion since December of last year and needed the run to be at her best.
Thalita’s odds going into the Portmore have plummeted from 10-1 to 3-1.
The odds on third by post in the Thornbird, Mamma Mia have increased to 7-1, with the odds makers claiming she is ineffective at the longer distances.
