KINGSTON, Jamaica – After 26 starts American importee Bold Sami familiarized herself with the winners’ enclosure for the first time in the Caymanas Saturday third at the two-turn distance of nine furlongs and 25 yards.

Bold Sami now four-years-old got her first success in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two races) for local horses and a (maiden) event for foreigners.

The jockey on Bold Sami, Jordan Barrett travelled the shortest route by hugging the inside rails throughout the race.

Bold Sami from the start was constantly battling a pesky Nina Dorada (Javaniel Patterson) for the lead. That private duel continued until the final turn when Barrett sent Bold Sami in front and the importee galloped strongly to defeat rivals by seven lengths. Bold Sami is trained by Byron Davis.

War of the Roses Oneil Mullings) after a poor start ran on for second with Dorthebutcher (Matthew Bennett) third.
