KINGSTON, Jamaica – Bold Aflair drawn at 10 in a field of 10 coming down the five straight course, made use of the best post-position in the contest and justified his 3-5 odds on favouritism with a facile victory in the ninth race which was just completed at Caymanas Park.
Ridden by Anthony Thomas, Bold Aflair a US importee stayed with the pack of leaders until it was time to move away and that movement took place after three furlongs went by.
From then on it was a matter of how far Bold Aflair would win by and who would be second and third. When the winning post came Bold Aflair trained by Gary Subratie won by four lengths with K D Flyer (Dane Nelson – 6-1) second and Nuclear Thunder (Christopher Mamdeen – 24-1) third.
Bold Aflair was Subratie’s second winner on the day.
The winning time was 59.0.
